Catherine Hardwicke did a great job, being as faithful as she can to Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight. My favourite part of the book has got to be the “meadow scene” but I wasn’t quite satisfied with how it was portrayed in the movie. Then again, urghh.. it’s just me and my lovey-dovey-ness. I liked the “baseball scene” a lot, though. And as odd as this may sound, I think vampires in baseball clothes are adorable! Thank goodness the original script for Twilight didn’t stick.. I can’t imagine Bella being a track star, sitting in a diner with James and the FBI chasing bad vampires in the ocean with their jet skis. HAHAHAHA! “As if you could outrun me!!” Edward would say. And yeah, I can hardly wait for New Moon around November this year, so I am crossing my fingers for a worldwide simultaneous release! (Oh please, oh please!) I understand why a lot of my friends are not so into this second book of Meyer’s Twilight Saga. I know right? This is Team Edward speaking, we DON’T like Jacob Black, and Taylor Lautner is NOT hot, AT ALL. And where is Edward, like, third quarter of the time??? But yeah, New Moon is (still) my favourite book from the Twilight series, albeit all wet-eyed and heart-broken throughout the first half of it, the Edward-Bella reunion was worth the pain!(-stakingly draggy Jacob-Bella melodrama). I just hope Chris Weitz won’t ruin New Moon like how he ruined The Golden Compass.
